Imphal, Feb 8: Konthoujam Ibochouba has been elected as the new general secretary of the South East Asia Cultural Organisation (SEACO). A statement by the Publicity Secretary Thangjam Inaocha said that as former general secretary of SEACO Hidam Asish had to resigned from the post due to his personnel problem an executive committee meeting of SEACO held on February 5, 2017 had resolved to appoint Konthoujam Ibochaouba as the general secretary of the organization.
SEACO is an organization which has been working for preservation of the indigenous Manipuri culture.
