The SDPO of Tousem Sub-Division was found dead at his residence today morning. The deceased has been identified as Nehemiah Jajo Chodang (58) son of Khaprang Chadong of Grihang Village presently staying at Nagaram D-Block.
According to reports, he was last seen on 25 February and that most of his family members were staying outside Manipur. When family members enquired about him at his office it was found that he had taken leave for 3 days. Today morning when his relatives checked his present residence it was found locked from outside with the SDPO lying on the sofa inside. The dead body was highly decomposed and bore injury marks on his head. Police has taken up a case regarding the death and investigation is already underway.
