Imphal, April 27: SDO of Lilong Md. Ajijur Rahman today said that he had not released any statement regarding the death of Sagolsem Prasanta, who was found hanged to death at Lilong area. Reacting to Imphal Times report the SDO in a telephonic conversation with Imphal Times staff said that the matter is under investigation and he had not issued any statement regarding the matter.
At our yesterday’s issue, we had reported that the anger of the people at Kakwa area protesting the Killing was fueled by a report which went on viral on social media stated to have been released by the SDO. It stands true that a report is going viral on social media and Imphal Times intention to report the matter is to receive quick response from the concern government authority to prevent any unwanted incident that might sparked out of the report. As SDO himself clarifies we appealed our fellow readers to remain calm as the law enforcing agency are investigating over the dead of the youth.
