The Directorate of State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT), Manipur, has nominated four officials to participate in a three-day Regional Review and Planning Workshop (RRPW) on School Leadership to be held in Tripura from February 9 to 11, 2026. The workshop is being organised by the School Leadership Academy (SLA), Tripura, with a focus on strengthening leadership practices in schools across the northeastern region. Resource persons from the National Institute of Educational Planning and Administration, New Delhi have facilitated technical sessions and provide expert guidance on school leadership, planning, and institutional development during the workshop.
According to an official communication issued by the Director of SCERT, Manipur, A. Romel Singh, the nominated participants include RK Shashirajan Singh, Lecturer, DIET, SCERT Manipur and Nodal Officer, SLA Manipur; M. Binarani, Lecturer, DIET, SCERT Manipur and Assistant Nodal Officer, SLA; H. Leisembi Chanu, State Resource Person, Samagra Shiksha Manipur and SLA Core Group Member; and Ksh. Babylee Devi, Head Teacher and SLA Core Group Member. The nomination follows a request from the Director, School Leadership Academy, Tripura, Agartala.
The Regional Review and Planning Workshop, undergoing at Pragna Bhavan Hall, Agartala was inaugurated by Prof. Manik Saha, chief minister of Tripura, has been expected to provide a platform for inter-state collaboration, experience sharing, and strategic planning to enhance school leadership capacities. The participation of SCERT Manipur officials is seen as a step towards aligning state-level initiatives with regional and national priorities in educational leadership and governance.
