Samata Party leaders join Samajwadi Party

Several leaders and workers of the Samata Party Manipur State Committee, led by its president Haji Asraf Ali, joined the Samajwadi Party in Manipur today.
The new entrants were formally inducted at a function held at the party office in Konthoujam Lairembi Leikai, where State President Konthoujam Bishorjit welcomed them.
Addressing the gathering, Konthoujam Bishorjit stated that the prevailing situation marked by economic hardship required leaders to act responsibly and work towards guiding society in a constructive direction. He urged party members to remain committed to public welfare and collective progress.
He also raised concern over the issue of proper identification of citizens, stating that failure to address it could pose challenges for indigenous communities in the future. Referring to discussions in the Assembly, he remarked that the absence of debate on the National Register of Citizens (NRC) was a matter of concern.
