Samajwadi Party eyes 40-Plus seats in Manipur Assembly Polls

Samajwadi Party Manipur State President Konthoujam Bishworjit today said that the party is preparing to field candidates in more than 40 Assembly constituencies in the upcoming Manipur Legislative Assembly elections.
Bishworjit made the statement while addressing a reception ceremony for newly joined members of the party held at the residence of Ranjan near the Merakhong River at Bamdiar. The programme was organised by the Samajwadi Party Manipur State Committee.

Welcoming the new entrants into the party fold, Bishworjit claimed that people from different political parties have begun placing their trust in the Samajwadi Party, which he described as the only political force capable of steering Manipur towards stability and development.

He said the growing support for the party reflects public dissatisfaction with existing political arrangements and expressed confidence that the Samajwadi Party would emerge as a significant contender in the next Assembly elections.

The function was attended by State Vice-President Romeo Khundrakpam, along with Laishram Nobo and Kh. Nipamacha as guests of honour. Party leaders and workers from different parts of the state also participated in the reception programme.
