Sharmila Kanba Lup (SAKAL) completes six years of relay hunger strike in solidarity to the iron lady, Irom Chanu Sharmila. In connection with ‘International Human Rights day observation – 2014’ SAKAL observed the completion of six years relay hunger strike today at its office located at Porompat, Imphal.
Speaking on the occasion, Angom Jeevanmala Devi, member of SAKAL said that Manipur used to live independently and freely but after its emersion to India, many human rights have been violated. She said that SAKAL will stand with the cause of Irom Chanu Sharmila for repeal of AFSPA.
