Rs. 3 Lakh death benefit handed over to family of deceased VDF personnel

The VDF Welfare Association, Thoubal District, on Sunday handed over a death benefit of Rs. 3 lakh to the family of late VDF personnel Salam Amarjit Singh of Uyal Makha Leikai, who was posted at the Reserved Line, Thoubal District.

Salam Amarjit Singh, bearing VDF No. 1432, passed away on June 3 following an illness.

The financial assistance was presented to his widow, Rebika Devi, at the office chamber of the Superintendent of Police, Thoubal District. The cheque was handed over by Manoj Prabhakar M., IPS, Superintendent of Police, Thoubal, in the presence of district police officers including Y. Shamu, OC Store; Y. Shankerdash Mangang, Reserve Officer; S. Shoba Singh; and members of the Executive Committee of the VDF Welfare Association, Thoubal District.

The assistance was disbursed from the VDF Welfare Fund as part of the Association’s welfare measures aimed at providing support to the families of VDF personnel during times of hardship and bereavement.
