RRM sets to host the Bikers’ festival

Imphal, August 24: People of the state will be witnessing Royal Enfield Riders extravaganzas as the Royal Riders Manipur is all set to host the bikers’ festival in November first week this year. In the festival called the North-East Riders’ Meet around 1000 bikers from across the North Eastern States of the country are expected to take part. The host, Royal Riders Manipur (RMM) is a group of Bullet Riders of Manipur and the festival is being organised to promote a safe and effective means of group riding and conduct that will enhance the image of the motorcycle riders and encourages others to participate in the sport. As a part of preparation for the upcoming event, Royal Riders Manipur (RMM) had conducted a pre test ride of Royal Enfield Bullets from Langol to Churachandpur Hide out park last week. The trial ride was participated by more than 200 Bullets from across the state.

R.K. Tombisana, President, Royal Riders Manipur said NERM is a festival of bikers to strengthen the bondage of love, friendship, human understanding and many more.

“People usually take the Bullet riders as monsters but we are soft from inside that needs to be shown to the public”, said Tombisana. He added that there are various health camp activities conducted by Royal Riders Manipur earlier. The meet is an annual feature which gives an opportunity to meet all the North-East riders and share their experiences to each others. Not only bikers from North-East will take part in the meet but bikers from across the country and from other countries are expected in the meet. He said they are expecting more than 1000 participants all over.

During the pre ride in Churachandpur Royal Riders Manipur offered on the spot registration to other Bullet riders who had come from different clubs and organisations to attend the NERM 2014 and for

other states there is a website to register online. The meet starts on November 5 at Chingnungkhok for three days and on November 8 and 9 the Bikers will head to border town Moreh.
