Proscribed group, the Revolutionary People’s Front (RPF) today observed its 43rd raising day as “Independent Demand Day”. A statement of the outfit said that the day is observed at various places including its Council Head Quarter, Central Bureau, Central Bureau Divisions , SR-1, SR-2, SR-3, Sr-4 , General Head Quarters of the PLA and its units Department, Stations etc. by following COVID- appropriate behaviours.
At the rebel groups Division 2,3,4,6,8 and 10 the armed rebel group observed the day by hoisted their party flags, stars and festoon under its Central Bureau, the statement said.
As a part of the observance the members of the group and its army wing PLA paid salute to its party falgs and also paid tributes to the martyred members of the RPF/PLA. Reading of the RPF President Irengbam Chaoren message to the people in connection with the day (publish in this news paper) and pay of tribute mark the observance.
The statement once more re-iterated its president message to the people regarding the Peace Talk. It said engaging talk with the India government will be similar to tying of hands to the ongoing movement and the RPF is not ready to hold talk at the moment.
The statement reminded the failed process of Peace-Talks and agreements of the 9 Point Agreement of 1947, 16 Point Agreement of 1960 and the 1975 Shillong Accord between India and Naga revolutionary and more than 6 years old Framework Agreement, are meant to trade Naga’s freedom with some material benefits. Likewise, Mizoram Accord of 1986 and TNV Tripartite Accord of 1988 were the agreements that had destroyed the idea of freedom.
It said that when there are draconian laws being enforced in the state the RPF will never accept peace talk proposal.
