Proscribed group Revolutionary People’s Front (RPF) has paid revolutionary salute to those cadres who had sacrifices fighting for the cause of the revolutionary movement with the coming of the ‘Athoubasinggi Numit’ (Martyrs’ Day) which the armed outfit observed on every April 13.
A press statement by Roben Khuman, Deputy Secretary Publicity , RPF appealed the people to pay homage by offering floral tribute to the martyred cadres. While appealing he people to pay floral tributes to the memorial , the RPF appealed people to follow SoO while paying tributes to the martyrs.
It may be mentioned that the High Court of Manipur has also allowed family members, relatives, bona fid well wishers and friends of the deceased who were killed in encountered with the Army be allowed o pay floral tribute at the memorial Tomb at Cheiraoching as has been done in the early years.
The High Court however said that the performing of the said ritual is permitted in between 6.25 am to 5 pm of April 13.
