Imphal, June 6:

Royal Riders Manipur has successfully concluded its month-long environmental campaign with a meaningful ceremony held at the Baruni hill range. This event marked the closure of the 13th edition of ‘Mahousa Ima Ningsing Tha’, a month-long observance dedicated to environmental conservation, and coincided with World Environment Day.
Gathering at the Kangla Western Gate in Imphal, the riders, under the leadership of President R.K. Tombisana, planted saplings as a symbolic gesture of their commitment to environmental conservation. President Tombisana flagged off the riders, signifying the beginning of a journey towards a greener future.
In addition to the sapling plantation, the riders distributed tree saplings and stickers at prominent locations such as the Kangla main gate and Ima Market. These efforts were aimed at spreading the message of environmental stewardship far and wide, encouraging the public to participate in the preservation and restoration of natural ecosystems.
In his address, President R.K. Tombisana highlighted the multifaceted nature of the campaign, which not only centered on tree planting but also encompassed various awareness programs and a painting competition in schools. He emphasized the importance of such collective endeavors in safeguarding the environment for the well-being of present and future generations.
“The campaign is not just about planting trees; it’s about nurturing a culture of environmental consciousness. Our activities over the past month, from awareness programs to engaging school children in painting competitions, are all aimed at fostering a deep-rooted respect for nature,” said President Tombisana.
The Royal Riders Manipur’s dedication to environmental causes has been consistently demonstrated through their annual ‘Mahousa Ima Ningsing Tha’ campaign. This year’s edition, with its diverse activities and widespread community engagement, has further solidified their role as environmental champions in the region.
As the riders concluded their campaign at the scenic Baruni hill range, the ceremony stood as a testament to their unwavering commitment to creating a sustainable and greener future for Manipur. The Royal Riders Manipur continue to inspire and lead by example, showing that collective action can make a significant impact in the fight against environmental degradation.
