Royal Motors Manipur launches “Community Compassion Aid Event” to support relief camp residents

In a bid to provide relief to the families affected by the ongoing unrest in Manipur, which is approaching its sixth month, Royal Motors Manipur kicked off their “Community Compassion Aid Event” today. This initiative, unveiled at Ima Keithel, aims to funnel profits from sales of food items directly to the camps sheltering those affected by the unrest.
At the launch event, Maishnam Bikramjit, the head of Royal Motors Manipur, remarked, “Considering the decline in Manipur’s law and order situation, we felt an imperative as riders to contribute more substantially to the relief efforts. Thus, we initiated this endeavor, ensuring that all earnings support those in the relief camps.”
The event saw team members setting up a Khichri stall by Keithel No. 1 in Khwairamband Bazar, attracting a significant crowd eager to contribute to the cause.
Highlighting the pressing needs of the relief camp residents, especially with winter approaching, Bikramjit noted, “The camps are housing vulnerable individuals, including children and women, who require special care. As the temperature drops, the need for essential supplies will only rise. Our team is committed to doing its utmost to provide some measure of relief.”
With the situation in Manipur still volatile, Bikramjit told the Imphal Times that there’s no end date in sight for their initiative. “Today we’ve set up in Khwairamband Bazar, but tomorrow we might shift elsewhere. We pledge to keep going until the situation stabilizes,” he declared.
Royal Motors Manipur’s commendable effort in these challenging times serves as an inspiration, reminding us of the collective responsibility to support one another. Their endeavor is bound to motivate many more to chip in, as Manipur longs for a return to normalcy.
