Royal Council of Sana Konung, Imphal has expressed its gratitude to MLA of Thongju Bishwajit for urging the authority of Art and Culture Department to provide financial support for the development of Sana Konung.
In press statement, Lanchan Cheinglei, Chief Councilor of the Royal Council said that the MLA raised the issue in the ongoing Manipur Legislative Assembly Session.
The Sana Konung has been organizing more than 50 ritual activities every years for the welfare of the state and to bring unity among various communities of the state. Besides, ritual activities the Sana Konung is responsible for various social welfare activities and huge money is spent every year.
The motion of the MLA in the floor of the Manipur Legislative Assembly is welcoming especially when the Sana Konu is facing financial problems.
