A day after ATSUM suspended its proposed bandh following agreement with the government Rongmei Naga Youth Organization (RNYO) has threaten bandh at all Rogmei inhabited areas of Manipur and NH 37 from 6 am of November 9 and also ban all sort of national project construction works following failure to “Rani Gaidinliu Tribal Freedom Fighters’ Museum” to her native village in Manipur.
A statement by Kanpatlung Pamei, President of the Rongmei Naga Youth Organization (RNYO) said that they had repeatedly made appeals to the Government of Manipur through Social Medias besides submitting memorandum to the Chief Minister on August 16, 2020 and on 22 September 22, 2020, It said that the organization has set 15 days ultimatum on October 18 and November 3, 2020 to expedite approval of the demand for construction of the “Rani Gaidinliu Tribal Freedom Fighters’ Museum” that was approved by the Central Government at her native district Tamenglong/ Longmai (Noney).
“As the Government remains mule to the matter. The fact has prompted and compelled to agitate with intensive blockage of Government activities to the effect of public daily round of toils”, the statement threatens.
The RNYO has appealed to all Units and village Youths organizations/clubs to prepare and get ready for the agitation and informed the Rongmei Sacrifice Services (RSS) volunteers to assist and render needful service in delivering justice to the just and deserving people whose rights and privileges have been long deprived and denied. The Government shall be held responsible for any extent of eventuality, it added.
