Rongmei people in the state celebrated Rongmei Christian Centenary to mark the completion of 100 years of the coming of Christianity under the theme Rongmei with Christian at Tarung Rongmei Village, Thangmeiband. The celebration which begins from Dec. 11 will concludes tomorrow. The Centenary celebration marks the conversion of Namrijinnang Kahmei into Christianity. His grandson Panti Kahmei lighted the celebration torch while the living oldest Rongmei Christian leader Rev. MP Namthiurei, Emeritus Pastor hoisted the celebration flag on 11 December last.
