With the completion of one month today people have staged state wide protest demonstrations across the state remembering Sapam Robhinhood, who was killed in police action during a protest on July 8.
Many people across the state thronged at Robinhood’s last attended school- Ananda Singh Higher Secondary Academy, Nongmeibung to pay floral tribute at 2.55 PM the timing of his death.
Around 400 two-wheeler women marched a motor rally around Imphal area. The rally which was flag off from Khurai Heikrumakhong marched toward Ananda Academy via Chairen Thongkhong and they offered floral tribute before the photo of Robinhood at his site of death.
From there they proceeded towards Keishamthong Thangjam Leirak residence of Robinhood. There the protestors also offered floral tribute.
Sharing the sorrows of the aggrieved family of Robinhood, Coordinating Body of ILPS, Khurai area have organized a two-minute silent condolence at 2.55 PM. Shopkeepers, locals and passengers joined the condolence. During the observance the whole area witness a complete still as all the movements were stopped.
