ROB and PIB jointly launch first-ever meme contest to create voter awareness for Manipur Assembly polls

For the first time, the Regional Outreach Bureau, Imphal jointly with Press Information Bureau, Manipur ,under the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India. has launched a meme contest to build voter awareness for the upcoming Assembly polls in Manipur. The innovative contest, is on till the end of the week, and is aimed at the younger generation. It seeks to enthuse memers and social-media users to use their creativity to come up with memes which are humorous and will motivate voters to go out and vote. An Internet meme, more commonly known simply as a meme is an idea, behavior, or style that is spread via the Internet, often through social media platforms and especially for humorous purposes. 
The entries can be in English or Manipuri, with inspiration drawn from Manipuri or English films or serials or popular topics. The script used can be English or Meitei. The first prize is Rs.10,000, second prize is Rs.7,000, and the third prize is Rs.5,000. All those who participate will be awarded certificates.
