Road block agitation cancelled after MLA acts

Angry locals of Yairipok area in Andro Assembly constituency today block road in between Yairipok Laimanai Thongkhong and Azad Higher Secondary School demanding immediate repairmen of the road which is at present at the most deteriorated condition. The angry locals had decided to block the road indefinitely however was later called off after a meeting was held between representatives of the Laimanai youth club yairipok (LYCY), Top-Chingtha Youth Progressive Organisation  (TYPO), Sacrifice youth development  organisation  (SYDO) Tulihal Awang Leikai Yairipok and Nongpok Ningthou youth
Association  (NNYA), nominee of Top-Chingtha of Andro Assembly constituency, S.Inaobi.
The decision to called off the blockade was taken after the MLA Th. Shyamkumar immediately sent a JCB to start repairing the road stretch. The road stretch is not even a kilometer long stretch. The matter was put to the notice of the Works Minister Kh. Ratankumar during the discussion hour for passing of the demand for grant of the PWD.
