RN Ravi arrives in Imphal

The interlocutor of Indo- NSCN (IM) peace talk, RN Ravi arrived at Imphal today at 11.45 am in an Indigo Flight.
Speaking to media persons at the Tulihal International Airport, he informed that discussions will be held with different sections of the society in trying to bring a comprehensive peace accord.
“It is a step taken up to bring inclusive peace”, Ravi said.
According to a source, the interlocutor is scheduled to meet with representatives of UCM, AMUCO and other civil society organizations at Hotel Classic at around 3.30 pm. When contacted, a key functionary of AMUCO informed Imphal Times that they received formal invitation to meet RN Ravi today noon. During the meeting, AMUCO will place its demands before the interlocutor not to disturb the territorial and administrative setup of Manipur with the implementation of recent Indo-NSCN (IM) peace accord. Ravi, who is also the Chairman of Joint Intelligence Committee, Government of India, will call on Chief Minister, Okram Ibobi Singh and other high level government officials at 4.30pm. He is scheduled to return tomorrow.
