Imphal, Dec 31: Regional Institute of Medical Science (RIMS) Nurses Association of RIMS, Imphal has staged a sit-in protest against the recovery of a Chinese-made hand grenade at the staircase of RIMS Surgery Ward on December 30.
Contending that medical institutions should not be targeted by insurgents in their violent campaign, the protestors said such incident disturbed the quiet environment of the hospital.
Claiming that the hospital’s environment is disturbed by such acts of violence, the association members have staged the protests as attacks on hospitals are against civil norms.
Seeking clarification from the concern authority for planting of bomb inside the hospital, the association appealed not to repeat such act that bothered the environment of the medical institute.
