RIMS no more in Top 50 in NIRF ranking 2023

IT News
Imphal, June 9:

In a shocking revelation, the one and the only Regional Medical Institute of North East India – The Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS), Imphal couldn’t be found in the Top 50 list of the NIRF ranking this year.
The 2023 NIRF ranking was announced a few days back in New Delhi.
It may be mentioned that RIMS was the only medical institute from the North East that hold a position in the Top 50 best medical colleges in India in the last four consecutive years: (2019, 2020, 2021, 2022) saving the pride of the NorthEast. However, in this year’s ranking RIMS is downgraded, and not listed in the top 50 medical institutes in India. It is very disappointing not only for students and faculty of RIMS but also for the entire people of Manipur and North East and of course for the Ministry of Health family welfare Govt. of India too.
