RIMS has only 3 ventilators

The most renown medical institution polpularly known as the Regional Institute of Medical Sciences, (RIMS) which is also the pride of the state has only 3 ventilators of its owned. This was stated by Health Minister Phunzathang Tonsing while replying to a calling attention motion moved by MLA Dr. I Ibohalbi. On the other hand the state run JN Hospital which had recently started a medical college has 8 ventilators. Ventilators are live saving instrument essential for every hospital. Private hospital like Shija Hospital and Research Institute has sufficient number of ventilators and are all functional.
What is more shameful is that one of the premier medical institution of the North East does not have more than three ventilators.
