RIMS Director Prof. A. Santa inaugurates Electrical Section Building

Prof. A. Santa Singh, Director, Regional Institute of Medical Sciences, Imphal inaugurated the newly constructed Electrical Section building today. The Regional Institute of Medical Sciences, Imphal is expected to get more funds in the next budget which is a very good step. Funds of the institute will be nothing less than any AIIMS in India and it will be a massive jump. Both the Ministry and the institute have been monitoring regularly the progress of various works being done in this institute stated by Prof A. Santa Singh, Director, RIMS.
Director further stated that the Ministry closely monitored all the progress of various works taking up in the institute. He also expressed happiness that the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India has increased the annual budget of RIMS by 27.6% from the previous year. The central government has given special emphasis to the development of RIMS in particular and Manipur in general. Utilization of fund of our institute and comparing it with other medical colleges of other North East States, we are far ahead from other medical colleges. The institute is able to do very well on all fronts. After some years later, the institute will be able to compete with the best of the best medical colleges in India. The health ministry recently selected 12 prominent central medical institutions in India including PGI, Chandigarh, RIMS, NEIGRIMS, and new AIIMS institutes for Critical Care Management, and appreciated the roles of these medical institutions in these areas and also sanctioned to start Critical Care Block Center. The Director stated that the institute is getting more funds and there will be no shortage of funds in the institute.
The newly Inaugurated Electrical Section Building attended Medical Superintendent, RIMS Hospital, faculty members from Engineering Cell both Civil and electrical staffs also attended the program.
