rims Covid beds increased to 224 & rims staff canteen inaugurated

Prof. A. Santa Singh, Director, RIMS inaugurated New Staff Canteen near Neuro ICU (2nd floor) today.
During the inauguration, Prof. H. Priyosakhi Devi, Medical Superintendent, Principals of Dental College & College of Nursing, Heads of Departments, faculty members, Deputy Director (Admn.), CAO/FA, officials from Central Workshop of RIMS, Imphal, members of the RIMS Patient Welfare Committee Ng. Nongyai Singh and Laimayum Basanta Sharma were also attended.

After the inauguration, the Director also announced that the number of beds for COVID-19 patients has been increased from 143 to 224. The number of ICU beds for COVID-19 patients also increased from 12 to 40 including 10 beds in NICU. 30 beds are reserved for COVID positive pregnant women in the Gynae ward. One separate ICU bed for dialysis patient is also reserved. During the announcement, Prof. Sanjib Nepram, Deputy Medical Superintendent, RIMS Hospital and Dr. Y. Arunkumar Singh, Asst. Medical Superintendent was also present.
Further, the Department of Psychiatry and Department of Clinical Psychology of the institute open its Counseling Helpline for healthcare workers and general public during working days from 10 am to 3 pm. It is therefore requested to avail the facility of Tele Counseling and Tele Psychiatry through Mobile number – 6033856081.
