Republic Day Celebration: PCCF & HoFF and ACS Anurag Bajpai unfurls National Flag at Forest headquarters

The 76th Republic Day of India was celebrated with patriotic fervour at the Forest Headquarters yesterday. The National Flag was ceremoniously unfurled by the Principal Chief Conservator of Forests & Head of Forest Force (PCCF & HoFF) in the presence of senior officers and staff of the Forest Department.
The ceremony commenced with the unfurling of the National Flag, followed by the singing of the National Anthem, Parade Nirikshanand Rashtriya salute by the frontline staff of Forest Department creating an atmosphere of pride, unity, and national spirit. Officers and staff stood in respectful attention, reaffirming their commitment to the ideals and values enshrined in the Constitution of India.
Addressing the gathering, the PCCF & HoFF stated “Republic Day reminds us that India is held together not by geography alone, but by constitutional values—Justice, Liberty, Equality and Fraternity. These values are not abstract ideals; they are guiding principles for governance, public service and peaceful coexistence in a diverse nation. He also reiterated that for us in civil service the day is a reminder of our special responsibility”.
He further reiterated that “We are not merely administrators of rules; we are trustees of the Republic. Our duty is to uphold constitutional morality, protect the vulnerable, maintain neutrality, and ensure that governance reaches every citizen fairly and fearlessly—especially in challenging times. Let us remember that strength of the Republic lies not in authority alone, but in empathy, integrity and service. Every sincere effort to restore confidence, deliver justice and promote harmony reinforces the foundation of our democracy.”
The PCCF & HoFF further emphasized the collective responsibility of public servants in nation building and appreciated the dedicated efforts of forest personnel in conservation of forests and protection of wildlife.
Officers and staff from various wings of the Forest Department participated in the programme. The celebration concluded with a renewed pledge to uphold the constitutional values and democratic ideals of the nation and commitment to protect the rich floral and faunal diversity of our country.
