Reports about cops collecting donation to court fee shocks civil societies

Imphal, Aug 30: A news report appeared in a local daily paper here in Imphal which said that police are collecting donation for advocate fees to counter the prolong fake encounter case at Supreme court. In a Press meet held today at Manipur Press Club today afternoon, Human Rights Activists, Khaidem Mani, Babloo Loitongbam among others urged the chief Minister of Manipur to find out if the said report is correct or not. The news report also quoted a high ranking official of the state police police talking to the reporter of that media house. Talking to reporters Babloo Loitongbam and Khaidem Mani said that before election the BJP had promise to cooperate with the victims of the fake encounter presently seeking justice at the Supreme court. The Human Rights activists urged the chief Minister of Manipur N biren Singh to constitute an enquiry committee to find out the truth.
