Repoll for ADC at 72 polling stations today

Re polling at 72 polling stations across the six Autonomous District Council (ADC) has been conducted without any unwanted accident today. The ADC election which was held on 1st June of 2015, was marred by various unwanted activities and incidents like booth capturing, burning of poll materials and pouring ink into ballot boxes. As a result,  State Election Commission has announced the June 6 re-poll including 18 booths each in Senapati and Sadar hills, 11 polling booths in Churachandpur ADC, 9 in Tamenglong and 6 in Ukhrul ADCs.
Today’s repoll begins from 7 am and concluded at 4 pm. our reporter witnessed voters queuing up to cast their votes without worrying for the scorching sun.
