Relief materials distributed at Flood victims of Mayang Imphal

Imphal, July 8: All Manipur Skill Development Union (AMSDU) and Loktak Industries distributed 30 pieces water storage tanks which is of 500 litres to the flood affected people of Mayang Imphal Assembly Constituency today. The water storage tanks were distributed through Parliamentary Secretary Kongkham Robindro Singh who also happens to be the local MLA of Mayang Imphal AC. Speaking to the media persons, K Robindro expressed gratitude to AMSDU for their humanitarian assistance to the people of Mayang Imphal constituency when the people who have been affected badly by the recent flood are facing scarcity of proper drinking water. At present most of the flood affected people of the state decry over the unavailability of proper drinking water in their respected areas and the relief camps where they are taking shelter for time being. To meet the needs of drinking water, support from the public is much, he added. AMSDU has shown that there are many like minded people who are taking huge initiative for those people who need help and support during the time of suffering like the recent flood, K Robindro asserts. Sanglakpam Preshyojit Sharma of Loktak Water Tank said that they are able to extend help to the flood victims is because of the support from the people of the state by buying their products. The income they have received is now come in use in extending help in different ways like the distribution of 30 pieces of water storage tanks. Support from the other business community of the state at such hour is also needed, Sanglakpam Preshyojit Sharma added. “It will not be wrong to expressed that all the business community in bazar area is survived from the support of the people of the state and they must extend out their hands to help the people of the state when they are facing natural disaster like flood where many families are left to take shelter at relief camp and struggling to get proper relief materials”, said one of the member of AMSDU. On the other hand, MLA K Robindro distributed 600 bags of urea fertilizers to the people of Mayang Imphal Constituency who have been badly affected in the recent flood where thousands of paddy fields, farms have been submerged under water including many houses. The urea fertilizers have been distributed at low price compare to the government rate.
