Relief Efforts in Jiribam: Local organizations provide essential items to displaced persons

In a show of solidarity and support, representatives from the Chanura Lamchinglen Kangleipak (CLK), Kangleipak Students’ Association (KSA), JIMWAK, and IPSA Jiribam branch have provided essential items to internally displaced persons (IDPs) in Jiribam district. These individuals were forced out of their villages by armed Kuki militants and are currently taking shelter in various relief camps.
The relief distribution took place at several locations, including Ningsingkhul, Bidyanagar Sports Complex, Jiribam Higher Secondary School, Chingdong Leikai Primary School, and Sorok Atingbi Government High School. The essential items distributed aim to support the basic needs of those affected by the ongoing violence and displacement.
The local organizations’ efforts have been crucial in addressing the immediate needs of the displaced persons, offering them some respite in these challenging times.
