Imphal, Nov 23:

In a bid to enhance security across Manipur, authorities have deployed 90 additional companies of security forces, supplementing the existing deployment of 198 companies in the state.
A significant portion of the reinforcements has already arrived in Imphal and is being strategically stationed to protect citizens, secure vulnerable areas, and safeguard critical infrastructure.
The decision was made during a high-level security review meeting held earlier today. The meeting was attended by senior representatives from the Army, Assam Rifles, BSF, CRPF, state police, and the Director General of Police (DGP). Officials assessed the security situation in Imphal and other districts, identifying areas of concern and formulating strategies to address potential threats effectively.
With the arrival of the additional forces, security personnel are being redeployed to cover high-risk zones and sensitive locations across the state. Authorities aim to bolster public confidence and prevent any further escalation of violence.
