Imphal July.10: Troops of Red Shield Division recovered arms and ammunition from general area New Zou Veng, district Churachandpur on July 7, 2014. A PRO (DW) statement said troops of Red Shield Division launched an operation at some houses in general area New Zou Veng after getting specific information about the presence of Zou Defence Volunteers (ZDV) cadres. While, the suspected cadres deserted the house before the security forces could reach, a thorough search of the house and surrounding areas ensured recovery of a US made 9mm Pistol with magazine, two rounds of live ammunition and one extortion book of ZDV, the statement added.
