Amidst combing operation for flushing out rebel group along the Indo-Myanmar border in the back drop of the ferocious attack to 6 Dogra Regiment at Chandel district, another rebel group of the region attack a convoy of 44 Assam Rifles troopers in between Konkhan and Ningshun area in Ukhrul district near Indo Myanmar border at around 7 am today. Report reaching here said that the 44 AR troopers retaliated too and the gunfight took place for some minutes. However, there is no report of any causality at either side.
