Rebel strikes back: attack Assam Rifles troopers at Changlang district in Arunachal Pradesh

At a time when the Government of India is preparing to sign memorandum of understanding with the Myanmar government to extradite rebel group taking shelter in Myanmar soil, armed rebel group operating in the region today strike back attacking Indian Security Forces – The Assam Rifles troopers at Changlang district in Arunachal Pradesh.

Source said that the attack to a convoy of Assam Rifle troopers was carried out by combined troop of Peoples’ Liberation Army (PLA) – Army wing of the Revolutionary Peoples’ Front (RPF), United Liberation Front of Asom (ULFA -Paresh Baruah) and the National Socialist Council of  Nagaland (NSCN-K) at wee hour today. Photo received through source revealed that the rebel group attack the AR trooper using sophisticated weapons. However report said that there were no casualty.

Following the attack more security forces reinforced in the area and conducted combing operation in search of the rebel group.
