Rajendro warns legal action against Awonba Manipur

Nongthombam Rajendro, former president of ICHAM and brother of former Chief Minister Nongthombam Biren Singh, today issued a seven-day ultimatum to the administrator of the Facebook page “Awonba Manipur” to clarify a post he described as misleading and defamatory.
Speaking to media persons, Nongthombam Rajendro, also known as Boi, alleged that the page had uploaded a video during the Coordinating Committee on Manipur Integrity (COCOMI) public rally, claiming that he and his brother were supporting the event. He rejected the claim as false.
He clarified that the video clip in question was recorded on April 7, when he, along with local residents, participated in a rally condemning the killing of two siblings at Tronglaobi.
Rajendro stated that if the Facebook page fails to issue a clarification within the stipulated seven days, he will initiate legal proceedings against those responsible for the post.
