Quami Ekta Diwas celebrates at Lilong Haoreibi College

A “Special Summary Revision (SSR) 2022 Awareness” with respect to 01-01-2022 as the Qualifying Date as part of ‘SVEEP Campaign’ was organised today at Lilong Haorelbi College with NSS Volunteers & NYK Thoubal as part of Quami Ekta Diwas/Week Celebrations.
The SVEEP Nodal officer of Thoubal, Michael T Mate, District Youth Officer, Nehru Yuva Kendra Thoubal educated the gathering on the various forms related to SSR, and the objective of SVEEP which is to Educate voters, bring trust in electoral process & motivate them to exercise their constitutional right to vote available to all citizens above 18 yrs of age, and exhorted them to ensure their applications are submitted timely as SSR is a time bound exercise. As part of the interaction program, a _Block Level Declamation Contest on Patriotism & Nation Building_ was also organised by NYK Thoubal, the winners of which will be invited to District level competition. Faculty members of Lilong Haorelbi College – N Mohen Singh, K Joychandra Kh, Mohd Ahmad Raza, Asst Professors served as Screening Jury Members.  
The audience was also sensitised on the important issue of Rainwater Harvesting and Water Conservation by DYO Michael Mate educating and motivating them on Catch The Rain campaign with the tagline – Catch the Rain where it falls, when it falls.
The program was also attended by Md Shahid Khan, PO, NSS-III Smt Th Umabati Chanu, PO, NSS-I Dr Reshma Khatun, NSS-II as presidium members. The program was jointly organised by Nehru Yuva Kendra, Thoubal & NSS Units I, II, III of Lilong Haorelbi College.
