A week-long Mass Awareness Campaign on Covid-19 Pandemic has been launched at Ibudhou Puruksoubi complex in Thongju Assembly Constituency yesterday.
The campaign organized by Thongju Kendra Tengbang Lup (TKTL) was flagged off by its Chief Patron Seram Neken.
A statement by Jawan Mutum, Secretary Thongju Kendra Tengbang Lup that as a part of the campaign, publicity vans announcing the awareness messages will reach the nook and corner of seven gram panchayats in Thongju assembly constituency. During the campaign, TKTL volunteers will demonstrate proper hand washing, distribute face masks and teach social distancing to the public. During the launch programme, Seram Neken who is also the Zilla Parishad member of Imphal East expressed the gathering that public awareness at the grassroots level is the only means by which we can tackle the Covid-19 pandemic. He also sought the cooperation of the public during the campaign.
