Protest staged at various places demanding release of KSA Volunteers

Imphal, May 29: Volunteers of Kangleipak Students’ Association (KSA) along with local Meira Paibis today staged sit-in-protest at various places demanding unconditional released of the 5 KSA volunteers including its general secretary S Bidyananda.
Protest were staged at various places including  Oinam Sawombung, Khongman and Basikhong area.
5 volunteers of the KSA including its general secretary were arrested by a team of city police for siezing adulterated  salt packet from two grocery shops at Keishampat Leimajam leikai and Thangal keithel and pulled up the two owners of the shops to clarify to media. Just a minutes before the two were paraded before the media a team of city police came and arrested the 5 KSA volunteers. The protest while demanding the immediate released of the students.
The protestors question the reason for the arrest of the 5 students while letting free the two shop owners who were poisoning the people of the state by selling adulterated food items.

O Ibobi government should not encourage food adulteration of Non-Manipuri businessmen in the state. Release the students' leaders before it turn out to be an ugly turn.
