Uripok Huidrom Women Development Association (UHWDA) staged a sit-in-protest against Bomb threat at the residence of Sougrakpam Rajesh Singh at Uripok Huidrom Leikai today.
Speaking to the media persons the president of the UHWDA Salam Ibeyaima Devi said that the place where bomb was found has been used by various students for waiting their school vans or bus and many people use to pass the place. She further appealed those responsible not to repeat such act in the public place.
Meanwhile, Keisamthong Elangbam Leikai Apunba Nupi Lup (KUELANL) also staged a sit-in-protest against the Bomb attack to the residence of the locality.
Speaking the media person the president of KUELANL Ningthoujam Basanti said that last night at around 10:10 pm a bomb blast occurred at the residence of Elangbam Ibohal. She termed the blast as unfortunate as examination of HSCL and HSSLC are underway.
“It is disturbing not only to the people of the locality but also to the students as such incidents distract their attention”, Basanti said.
The protest appealed those responsible not to repeat such act in future.
Meanwhile, locals and Meira Paibis of Yumnam Leikai Lairembi today staged a sit-in-protest at Yumnam Leikai against the planting of bomb at the main gate of one Yumnam Khemchand of the leikai.
One of the local said that the bomb was found planted at the main gate of Yumnam Khemchand on March 5 at around 10 am. So far, it was the third time to get such threat in surrounding areas of Yumnam Leikai.
The protestors asked the reason of the deadly threat and appealed not to let such incident happen in the future in the area.
It was informed that Yumnam Khemchand is a member of Bharatiya Janata Party, Manipur Pradesh.
