Imphal, Oct 3: Manipur University today witnessed a juxtapose of protests separately staged by Manipur University Students’ Union (MUSU) along with Manipur University Entrance Examination Demand Committee (MUEEDC) and Manipur University Tribal Students Union (MUTSU).
Demanding to bring a decision into the deadlock over the admission to first year students in the varsity, MUSU and MUEEDC staged protest at the campus. The two bodies have also locked down the administration block of Manipur University four days ago demanding immediate settlement of the admission impasse.
While demanding to materialize their demands for admission reservation for ST students in the University, MUTSU has also staged protest at the varsity campus today afternoon.
However, no cases of casualty during the agitation reported at the time filing this report.
