The Manipur Students’ Association Delhi (MSAD) in association with the Manipur Young Mind Association Delhi, Fight You Are Not Alone and other individuals organised a mass rally at New Delhi demanding implementation of inner line Permit System in Manipur and protesting the brutality of State Forces in Suppressing Democratic Movement in Manipur which killed a student Sapam Robinhood.
A statement of MSAD said that the rally started from Mandi House at 11:30 a.m. and gathered at Jantar Mantar-Parliament Street. Nearly 300 protesters were present at the rally and the magnificent slogans denouncing the state government attitude towards the agitators for implementation of the ILP in the state. A memorandum was also submitted to the President and the Prime Minister of India.
After the rally, protesters hastened immediately to the residence of Dr. Th. Meinya, MP Lok Sabha. Slogans were shrieked by the agitated protesters demanding his resignation and other MLA calling them as Mithibong Mitambal.
