Protest staged against non-clearance of honorarium for cooks

Thoubal: Cooks for the mid-day meal scheme under Zonal Education Office Thoubal today staged sit-in-protest demanding clearance of their 9 month pending honorarium before the upcoming Ningol Chakkouba Festival.
Speaking to media persons said that Ningol Chakouba is one of the important festival of the state particularly for the women of the state and non-clearance of due honorarium for 9 month is not fair. She said the Cooks of the district will launched serious agitation including shutting of ZEO Thoubal Office if authority failed to fulfil the demand.
