Women folk of Thongju area today staged a sit-in-protest against the placing of hand grenade to the residence of Thokchom Dilipkumar at Koirou Thongju Part 2 at around 8.30 pm yesterday. Family members of Dilipkumar found the hand grenade hanging at the gate. According to a family member two person- one male and another female came in a blue alto car and enquire about the whereabouts of Dilipkumar. The bomb was probably hanged by the two persons, it added. A team of police which was informed later picked up the grenade.Condemning the placing of the hand grenade, women folk of Thongju area staged a sit-in-protest at Koirou Thongju area. Thokchom Dilipkumar is the president of Imphal Urban Co-operative Bank.Mentioned may be made that last year too unknown miscreants exploded a grenade at his residence. No one was however injured.
