Imphal, May 27: A sit-in-protest was staged in Sangakpham today demanding the arrest of culprits responsible for the killing of Hirom Premkumar whose dead body was found at a hillock near Waithou yesterday. The deceased is a resident of Heingang Panthoibi Leikai which falls under the Assembly constituency of chief minister N Biren. The wife of the chief minister also visited the site of the protest to share grief and offer support. The protestors requested her help in solving the murder and declined other assistances. A group of people from Heingang went to the Chief Minister’s bungalow to take up the matter directly with him.
