Protest continue against the contentious CAB

The contentious citizen Amendment Bill 2016 has become an awakening to unite the North East states. Strong opposition from different walks of lives protested against this controversial bill. Today in Manipur also sit-in-protest was staged at different places jointly spearheaded by six students’ organizations of Manipur.
Protest were staged today at Thangmeiband, Thoubal keithel etc. organized by Khwai Lamphel Women United Development Organisation and six student bodies.
Speaking to media persons General Secretary of Khwaiu Lamphel Women United Development Organization RK Tharaksana said that the organization considered the passing of the CAB 2016 bill at Lok Sabha is to genocide the indigenous people of the North East to make one India. This action and policy of the government is not of a democratic government but a dictatorial one.
She said that the government should withdraw the bill passed at Lok sabha or should not pass in Rajya Sabha to become an act. He assured that every movement and agitation against this bill will be supported by the organization until the government withdraws it.
Similar sit-in-protest was also held at Sagolband Moirang Hanuba Keithel Sang jointly organised by Moirang Hanuba Youth Development Club and Moirang Hanuba Semgat Sagatpa Committee.
