Protest against construction of power station at school campus enters 2nd day

Imphal, July 12: Sit-in-protest demonstration against the construction of sub-power station at the school campus of Yairipok (Aided) High School and Yairipok Government High School by students of the schools enter 2nd day today.
The students have been opposing the construction of the power sub- station at their school campus.
Student agitators said that if the concerned authority fails to head to their demand, they would intensify their agitation by launching different forms of agitations in association with different students’ bodies and civil society organisations of the state.
Student representatives of the two schools also submitted memorandum to MLA of Wangkhem A/C, K Megachandra and submitted a memorandum demanding immediate intervention to the construction of the power sub-station inside the school campus.
