Education Minister M. Okendro today said that the preparation for Private School regulations Act is almost nearing completion and the government is all set to table the bill in the next upcoming assembly session. This was given as reply to a calling attention motion moved by MLA L. Ibomcha in today’s assembly session. While moving the calling attention motion, MLA L. Ibomcha said that career of many students of the school are at risk as the government has failed to frame any rules and regulations for the mushrooming private school in the state. The MLA said that there is no strict provision to control the fee structures and framework for introduction of school uniform. He also said that private school transporters are not following government order to ferry limited numbers of students.
On his reply the Education Minister said that, government had earlier planned to frame a policy but with the coming of the RTE the policy has to be adapted and go along with the provision of the RTE.
