Imphal, Jan 31: Around 50 to 60 heavily armed cadres of NSCN-IM are reported to have been present at Noney area in Tamenglong district since last evening. Source close to Imphal Times, however did not disclose on the motive behind the presence of the heavily armed cadres. The report added that village chiefs of the area had requested the NSCN-IM cadres not to carried out any attack to security forces as it might distort the peaceful coexistence of the villagers. State Security forces still did not spell out any comments regarding the report.
