Imphal, Feb 6:

In preparation for the 7th Session of the 12th Manipur Legislative Assembly, which is set to convene on Monday, February 10, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. in the Assembly Hall, Chingmeirong, Imphal, the Assembly Secretariat has issued a series of precautionary measures and necessary arrangements to ensure smooth proceedings.
The vehicles of the Governor, Chief Minister, Speaker, Ministers, Chairman (HAC), and MLAs shall enter through Main Gate No. 1 and park at the VIP parking area on the northern side of the Assembly Hall, exiting through Main Gate No. 2. Vehicles of senior government officials assigned duties during the session, including the Chief Secretary, DGP, and Principal Secretaries, shall enter through Main Gate No. 2, park at Parking No. 2, and exit through the same gate. Official government vehicles shall halt at Main Gate No. 2, allowing officers to proceed to the Assembly Hall via the basement entrance, with ferry service available for transport. Medical and fire service vehicles shall enter through Main Gate No. 2, park at Parking No. 1, and exit through the same gate. Vehicles of the Manipur Legislative Assembly Secretariat with White Pass shall enter through Main Gate No. 2 and park at Parking No. 3 or 4.
Private vehicles of PWD, MSPDCL/MSPCL employees, and media personnel assigned duties shall enter through Gate No. 3, park at Parking No. 1, and exit through the same gate. Employees of the Manipur Legislative Assembly Secretariat shall enter through Gate No. 3, park at Parking No. 3 or 4, and exit through the same gate. Escort vehicles of Members and VIPs are prohibited from entering the Assembly Complex. PSOs and PROs shall enter through Gate No. 3 without arms. Firearms, ammunition, or any offensive weapons in possession of Members must be deposited with security personnel before entering the House.
All government officials on duty must display their special session ID cards with red strips. Officers and officials must deposit their laptops and mobile phones with CID security personnel at Main Door No. 1 (Basement). Senior government officers may be permitted to retain electronic devices if necessary. All officers and officials must wear their special session ID cards with blue strips for entry into the Assembly premises. Those without proper identification will be denied entry but exempted from signing the Register Book at Gate No. 3.
No visitors will be allowed to witness the Assembly proceedings due to the prevailing law and order situation in the state. All construction and renovation work inside the Assembly premises will be halted during the session. The Assembly Secretariat urges all stakeholders to adhere to these arrangements to ensure the smooth and secure conduct of the legislative session.
