The proscribed group People’s Revolutionary Party of Kangleipak (Progressive) [PREPAK (Pro)] has expressed condolences over the death of one of its cadres, who it claims was martyred while fighting for the land and rights of the people on February 17, 2025.
In an official statement, the group announced the demise of Marup RK Boboysana @ Lanheiba, a resident of Seijang Makha Leikai. According to PREPAK (Pro), Boboysana joined the organization in June 2023, in the aftermath of the violence that broke out in Manipur on May 3, 2023, leading to widespread instability. The group further stated that he underwent military training in August and December 2023 before being assigned to operational duties.
PREPAK (Pro) claimed that Boboysana played a significant role in the struggle for Manipur’s sovereignty, and his contributions were highly valued within the organization. Offering condolences, the group acknowledged the grief of his parents, RK Sanatombi and RK Ongbi Sanahanbi, as well as his family members.
As a tribute, PREPAK (Pro) posthumously honored Boboysana and extended its sympathies to his family, friends, and associates.
